Ava's newest hobby is playing in the pots and pans...pretty usual for a 1 year old right? But is it normal for them to want to be the main course? I look over as I'm cooking dinner the other day, and this is what I see.............
I guess I'm just your basic stay at home mom with 2 crazy kiddos...figuring out what I want to be "when I grow up". You know...struggling to find that balance between raising well-rounded children without losing my own identity. Fitting both Mom and Veronica into a short 24 hour day...oh yeah, and Jon's wife has to make it in there somewhere too! I'm obsessed with anything that has to do with remodeling my house (imagine a long eye roll, and huge sigh from Jon), and love to cook...although I'm pretty sure my skills aren't really up to par with my enthusiasm, but no one will tell me that! In a perfect world I'd be flipping houses and have my own cooking show, or a little cafe...maybe someday! For now I'm more than content to be a pretty good wife and mom...and most days I think I do okay. Others I think my husband gives me way more credit than I deserve. Right now it is play dates, the occasional date night, treasured time with friends and family, budget renovations, more go-to favorites than overly ambitious meals, and a quest to find my inner athlete! Hopefully I can get you to crack a smile. At the very least, I might have you sending me the stink eye!
